Candles are a Beautiful Thing

Hello beautiful people :)
I have a slight obsession with candles.
I love burning them and the scent they give off.
I buy all of my candles from Bath and Body Works.
It's a dangerous place for me to go to because I'm always attracted to their candle wall.
When they have candle sales 100% of the time I will walk out with candles.
I don't know why I need so many, but that doesn't stop me from buying them.
I love to burn candles at night.
I have the candle on my side table burning with my lights hanging around my window on.
During nights like this I am either on my bed reading or I have my laptop on my lap and I'm blogging.
I feel so relaxed and I love spending my nights in like this.
This is my candle stash right now.
It sits in my bottom drawer of my side table.
I go through candles quite quickly because I burn them a lot, especially during the winter.
Around Christmas time I buy Christmas candles and they're usually gone once Christmas is over.

Looking at the candles that I have, I realize that I need year round scented candles.
So knowing that I need more candles, it's going to be a struggle to walk past Bath and Body Works the next time I'm at the mall.
I've had this candle for a about a year and there is very little left of it.
It's Seaside Escape.
It's part of their summer candles and it definitely has a summer scent.
It's the one wick candle.
The smell is very tropical.
Every time I smell it, it smells like an all inclusive resort at a tropical place.
Burning this candle it immediately takes me on vacation, surrounded by the fresh air, the tropical fruit and the sunshine.
I bought this at the same time as the one above.
It's the same size.
This one is Oceanside.
I really like this candle for the summer time.
The scent is very fresh and light.
There might be a scent of sunscreen in there, which is a strong scent that is at the beach.
Being on the beach, you smell the fresh air and everything is light and fresh.
This is exactly what the candle smells like.
This candle I bought at the beginning of Spring.
It's a 3 Wick candle in the scent Pink Sangria.
I have been in love with this scent since last summer and I had to own the candle.
This was my first candle that I burned this season and it is 90% finished.
Unfortunately,I can't really tell you guys how it smells because the lid is melted shut.
I have no idea how it happened, I tried to open it about a week ago and I couldn't get the lid off for the life of me.
What I can say about this is that this candle disappointed me.
Smelling the candle in the store was heavenly.
But the second I lit it, it didn't smell nice at all.
The scent was too strong and wasn't pleasant.
It was so strong to the point where I would get headaches if I left it burning for so long.
This is the candle that I am currently burning and I absolutely love it!
It's Gelato and I will forever purchase this candle over and over again!
This was in my Fancy Friday post last week :)
I really love sweet fragrances and this candle definitely has a sweet smell.
But the scent isn't too heavy which is the best part.
It smells like candy, very sugary sweets!
What's also really great is that when this candle is burning, it still smells so sweet and it isn't overpowering!
Such a snazzy lid
I shouldn't have bought this candle and I blame my friend for making me buy this.
I didn't need anymore but it just smelled so lovely, I couldn't walk away from it.
I refuse to burn this candle because I don't want to finish it.
I want to keep this for as long as I can.
This one is called Paris Daydream.
It has a very perfume like scent to it.
If this was a body spray, I would definitely wear this.
It smells romantic, if that makes any sense!
haha!
It's another light fragrance that isn't too strong.
& my final and favourite candle.
I bought this at the same time as the Paris Daydream one.
This one is London Calling.
I can't even begin to describe how amazing this scent is!
The smell is mixture of tea and lemon.
I love this smell so much.
I can just sit here and smell the candle all day.
It isn't too strong, so it doesn't give me a head ache.
The smell is very citrusy because of the lemon.
UGH, everyone needs to go and buy this candle now!
I think this is the Gelato Candle burning.
Light a candle and give me a cup of tea and I will instantly feel relaxed.
Watching the flames burn when the candle is the only source of light, I find very beautiful.
I'm sorry if I did a horrible job at describing the scents.
If you want to check out Bath and Body Works' website, I'll link it for you.
They're scents are great and they have amazing products.
Leave a comment below and let me know you're favourite candles and I'll definitely check them out :)

Fancy Friday #4

Hello beautiful people :)
It's that time for another Fancy Friday!
Woot, woot!
My first favourite is a Bath and Body Works candle in the scent Gelato.
I am a massive fan of their candles.
I just love how this makes my room smell.
When it is burning, my room smells so sweet and fruity.
There are times when I'm burning candles and the scent gives me a headache.
But this isn't the case with this one.
The scent isn't too strong.
My second favourite shouldn't be a surprise!
I blogged about this Classic Disney film a few days ago!
You can check it out Here, if you haven't already!
I haven't stopped watching both films.
I love them so much!

I'm not sure why I haven't blogged about this product before.
I've had it for months and I fell in love with it after a week!
It's the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator in very black!
I have very short and straight eyelashes and most of the time I need to use two different mascaras in order for my lashes to be seen.
This is the first mascara that I've used where I don't have to pair it with another mascara.
I think the formula is perfect, it isn't too dry.
It doesn't clump.
I love the applicator!

This is another product that I've owned for a while.
It's Elf's blush in Twinkle Pink.
I bought this last year whilst on a trip to Florida with my friends.
I didn't wear blush then, I bought it because it was $3 and for the sake of owning blush.
I didn't start wearing this until a few months ago, but I wear it every day now.
I absolutely love it and it's my go-to blush.
I think the shade of pink is beautiful and I love the gold sparkles in it.
It's gorgeous on, I love the way it looks in the sun.
It gives you a nice colour whilst making you sparkle, slightly.
Oh and the price is fantastic :)
The next thing that I've been fancy-ing this week is a phone app.
It's called Candy Crush.
I haven't been addicted to this game until this week!
I am constantly playing this game and getting very frustrated because I can't beat a level.
It is the most satisfying feeling when I finish a level that I've been stuck on for a while!
If you don't have this  on your phone already, I suggest you get it!
It's dangerously addicting!
This is my last favourite!
It's Pompeii by Bastille :)
I am in love with the entire Bad Blood album, but this is the first song that I've listened to by them.
Lately, I've wanted to listen to this song a lot!
This song gets me pumped up and I like waking up to this because it gives me energy to get out of bed.
I love the lyrics and the music.
It makes me really happy.
I love listening to this in the car because it's a great song to jam out too whilst you're driving.

Well that's all for Fancy Friday!
I hope you had a great week :)
Leave a comment below if you fancy!

It's Time for Another Haul :)

Well hello there beautiful people!
I feel like I haven't blogged in a while, which makes me sad.
The past couple of days have been pretty busy because I've been spending all the money that I shouldn't be spending.
Wahoo for smart choices ;)

So the title of this post implies that I did some shopping over the last few days.
And when I say some shopping, I mean more than I should have done.
After these shopping days, I am literally refusing to use my debit or credit card for about a month.
I seriously need to learn how to save money.
Being on a student budget is just so hard.

I bought quite a few things over the last couple of days, so I'm going to jump right into it. :)
Enjoy!
My first day of shopping I went with the family because my brother was looking for a suit for his confirmation this week and I needed a dress to wear because I'm a sponsor for my cousin.
(If you're not Catholic and you're wondering what on earth I'm talking about, don't ask because I don't even understand it myself, hehe)
I bought three wonderful things that day, my sponsor dress being one of them.
Ouu la la!
This is the dress that I will be wearing this weekend for the confirmation event.
I wanted a dress that would make me look mature, but still really cute.
I found this lovely dress at Forever 21 for $18, booya!
I love the peplum style because it makes my waist look tiny and it covers up the area that I am most insecure about.
I really like the black and white Aztec design.
The length of the dress is perfect, it's not too long and it's not too short.
This isn't something that I would normally wear, so I'm enjoying that I love it so much!
It really flatters my body and I feel great wearing it :)

Ouu Maxi Dress time
(Okay, so the way I am standing makes my body look deformed here. Don't judge me)
This summer all I want to wear are dresses because they are so girly and fun and very easy to wear.
So, I have been slowly building up my summer dress collection and now I can add this one to it! Yay!
I found this at Bluenotes for $10, what?!
When I first saw this, I was very skeptical because of the horizontal stripes and I was just like "I'm going to look fat" "I'm going to look short" "life is going to hate me"
(Wow, look at me being optimistic, haha)
But my mom forced me to try it on and I was so shocked when I saw myself in the mirror.
I loved it!
I love the colour and just the way it fits and it is so comfortable to wear.
I wore it today and it does make me look a little wider at the hips, but I don't mind that.
Buying more maxi dresses is definitely on my list for my next summer shopping spree :)

The last item that I purchased that day was from Lush.
It is the first thing that I have bought from the store and I'm really happy about it!
It's the Lush Lip Scrub in Mint Tulip.
This tiny thing was $10.95, yikes.
It is used to exfoliate your lips and because it is made from sugar and oil you can lick it right off when you're done.
I've only used this a few times but I'm liking the results.
After I use it for a longer period of time, I will definitely do a review for you guys and let you know if it is worth the price :)
But as of right now, it is doing it's job and leaves my lips smoother than before.
I like it!

The next batch of purchases all happened between yesterday and today.
My best friend and I stupidly went shopping.
Shopping by myself is dangerous enough, but shopping with her is even worse.
I can't go shopping with all of my friends, and she just happens to be the one that I do serious damage with.
Yesterday, our main focus was Urban Planet and the mall.
I found some really nice things at Urban Planet that I love :)
Here they are!
Denim vest with studs?! What!!
I've been looking for a denim jacket and how I bought a denim vest, I have no idea.
I have never been the girl to wear something like this especially with studs.
But I tried it on and I just loved it!
It fit me perfectly and I knew that I would be nice to wear over corset tops, summer dresses and shirts.
This, I believe, was $15.
I'm in love with it and I know I will be wearing this a lot this summer.
Floral print, preeetttyyyy!
The whole corset and belly tops are very in this season.
I hate my stomach and I don't like flaunting it, but I am very into high waisted bottoms, so I figure pairing these tops with high waisted shorts or skirts wouldn't be so bad.
I bought this as a tester, to see if I would like wearing this out.
I really like it!
It isn't too small and the shape of the top hugs my body properly.
I've tried on other tops in this style and they just look so wrong on me.
I also love the floral print on this top.
I'm really into floral clothing as well.
So this shirt was just perfect for me!
This was $12.50 which again isn't too bad.
Front
Back
This was my last purchase at Urban Planet from yesterday.
I love mint green.
I love mint green nail polish.
I love mint green clothing.
When I saw this dress, I had to try it on and the fact that it was only $15 made it even better.
I love the t-shirt top and the lace over lay.
Because the skirt starts to flare just at my hips, it accentuates my waist once again, making me look smaller than normal.
This dress is also the perfect length and I love the skater skirt.
It's very summery and I love how it flows.
My favourite part of this dress is the opening in the back.
In the picture above, I think it makes me look smaller because of the shape of the opening, but then again I could just be crazy!
Why I bought candles? I don't know..
Oh because the packaging was pretty.
After going to Urban Planet, my friend and I drove down to the mall.
I had to buy a gift for my cousin and she had to buy a birthday present.
We entered Bath and Body Works because she was buying the present there and it had to be the biggest mistake.
I love candles and the Bath and Body Work candles always suck me in.
I bought two a few weeks before, so I really didn't need more but of course I still walk out with two.
They were going for 2 for $25.50 and I got London Calling and Paris Daydream.
They both smell so wonderful and I love the lids of these candles, look how cute they are!
I'm going to be doing a post about candles where I will talk about these more in depth...so stay tuned :)

So this blog post is very lengthy and I still have more things to share with you!
So I'm going to post this one and then do a part two :)
Leave a comment below if you like what I bought and let me know if you have purchased anything recently :)
