Summer Bucket List 2014

Hello beautiful people!

Whoa, it's me blogging and not just saying that I'm sorry for not blogging in a while!

I am actually writing something!!

Let's all just take a minute to let it sink it!

So last year I shared with you my bucket list for summer of 2013.

I was semi-successful in completing that list.

Seeing as I want to make this an annual thing because it gives me goals and such, I thought I would share with you my 2014 bucket list :)

I find making bucket lists such an awesome idea, whether or not you complete the entire thing!

Trying to complete everything is what counts. 

I don't know about you but I have some crazy things on my bucket list that may not be achievable but I don't care.

So here is what I want to accomplish this summer!

2. Meet 5 Seconds of Summer

3. Have a night out in Toronto

6. Quit my job :P

7. Road trip down to Sandbanks and Wasaga Beach

9. Spend a lot of time outside and go on mini adventures [I spent majority of my summer last year indoors]

Looking at my list, it seems more realistic than my one last year

Summer Clothes! :)

I find that wearing things like this really make my waist look a lot smaller and I'm loving that!

I can't believe that this is the last week of June and I'm still going with this challenge!

Today, the weather was beautiful for the morning.

The heat was a little excessive, but I prefer it than the cold.

I managed to snap a photo on a bird on my neighbours back fence!

30 Day Snap #9 | What a Beautiful Day

Hello beautiful people :)

Today has been so beautiful!

The weather is so gorgeous, I couldn't ask for a better day! 

Waking up in a good mood really changes everything. 

I went to bed fairly early last night and woke up easily and happily. 

Because of the cheeky mood that I was in, everything went smoothly. 

My girls' pictures turned out great and there were no tears! 

& most excitedly, I finally got hired! 

Woo woo I am not going to be broke anymore!

I am so excited :D

A Cheeky Road Trip for Some Delicious Burgers :)

Hello Beautiful People :)

I hope everyone's day was as happy and cheeky as mine!

The weather over here was just amazingly hot today!

Perfect timing for a road trip!

Wahoo!

I love road trips!

I just love driving with my friends, listening to music and having nice chats.

& That's exactly what my best friends and I did today!

My Uncle owns a Burger Joint an hour and a half away from where I live.

The burgers are to die for! Everything is made from scratch and is extremely fresh.

They use pretzel buns instead of regular hamburger buns and the food combinations are unreal!

I normally go with my grandparents on my days off, but they are in the Philippines for 6 months.

So I needed new people to come with me.

Luckily, two of my best friends love to eat and were down for this trip to get some good burgers.

By noon we hit the road and had our music blasting.

The normally, long ride wasn't too bad because I was having so much fun with my friends.

We sang along to the music, shared songs with each other and just teased each other...it was great!

But I will admit, a half an hour into the drive I was extremely hungry.

All I wanted was that burger.

I knew what burger I wanted and I was just waiting to get there!

Best friends :)

 The beautiful weather made the drive even better.

The scenery was so pretty with the sun shining and all the trees covered with their leaves.

It was the perfect summer day. 

The sight of trees on either side of the highway pleases me.

I find it very relaxing and fresh compared to seeing all the pollution hovering over massive buildings!

Arriving at the place was very exciting because I was so bloody hungry.

It felt like the order was taking forever.

All I wanted to do was eat my burger :(

When we were brought the burgers my face lit up!

It didn't take us long to immediately start stuffing our faces (in the classiest way possible)

These burgers never fail me.

They are made so well, I could eat them forever.

There is the right amount of spice and sweetness and saltiness.

The combination of jalapenos, a home made sauce and the potato chips mix so well together, oddly enough.

Doesn't your mouth water at the sight of this?!

I don't know what it is, but my friends and I can eat a lot!

After finishing our meal, we somehow still had room for ice cream!

So off we went, down the street to the Reid's Dairy Castle!

Castle?! WHOA!

Yes, it was pretty awesome.

Like little kids, we rush inside unable to decide on what to get.

But because I don't stray from tradition, I quickly order the bubblegum ice cream!

There is just something about bubblegum ice cream that gets me!

I love it so, so much!

What makes this castle even better is their portion size!

My goodness, their "small" looks more like an extra large with a really good price :)

Look how good and giant it is! Yum!

I miss the feeling of sitting outside, eating ice cream on a Summers day.

So being able to do that today was really lovely!

I love feeling the sun on my skin, I feel so warm :)

I got my friend to take a photo of me because my dress matched my ice cream, which I thought as hilarious for some reason :P

Not the most flattering picture of me, but anyways!

The dress was lovely to wear today!

By the time I arrived home it was 5:00 in the evening.

The road trip ended up being more exhausting than I had expected.

Totally worth it, it just surprised me.

I'm so happy that I got to spend such a beautiful day with two of my best friends.

The burgers were delicious, the ice cream was yummy, the drive was beautiful and the pictures are funny :)

This is definitely one of my favourite days of the summer so far!

Summer Bucket List 2013

Hello beautiful people :)

How are you?

Since  I have finished my first year University and I now have 4 months of summer, I want to make the most out of my break.

I want to be able to have a great summer with all of my friends home and to make more memories!

Memories that I can document here and take pictures of with my new snazzy camera!

So I thought it would be a fantastic idea to share with you all, my summer bucket list for 2013.

I thought it would be a cheeky idea and maybe you guys can get some ideas.

But I will say I don't have anything over the top amazing on my list, like bungee jumping or swimming with sharks.

They are things that I love to do and want to accomplish.

I don't know what is going to happen in the future with my friends, so I need to take advantage of this whilst we are all still home.

Here it goes:

1. See One Direction in Concert and love every moment of it!

2. Meet One Direction

3. Start a YouTube Channel :)

4. Camping with my best friends at the beautiful Sand Banks

5. Bonfires and BBQ all Summer long!

6. Participate in some form of charity work!

7. Go crazy and shop in Toronto

8. Be in the best shape possible where I can feel great and confident about myself

9. Go to the zoo to see all the pretty and adorable animals!

10. Create a memory box to store memorable items throughout my University years

Manicure Monday #3

Hello beautiful people :)

So I had a tough time deciding what I wanted to do with my nails this week.

I changed my mind about three times.

The first two options just didn't work and what I finally picked was very simple.

I just want to say there is a beautiful thunderstorm happening as I write this.

I'm normally quite scared of them, but there's a certain beauty about this one that is making me enjoy it.

Anyways back to my nails :)

Nice. Simple. Spring.

I decided on Sally Hensen's 340 Mint Sorbet.

Apparently, I only own Sally Hensen nail polish...I need to widen my nail polish brands.

This has been my favourite colour to wear during the summer for the past two years.

I am obsessed with this colour and this polish goes on so nicely!

Whenever I am deciding on what colour to paint my nails, I always end up picking up this one.

It's a perfect colour for both spring and summer.

I'll definitely be wearing this more than once this season.

My hands look much more tanned with this colour on.

Although they look quite white with the light shining on them, without it the tan is there.

I promise ;)

& because I haven't done much tanning yet, making it look like I have a tan is great :)

Such a Beautiful Day :)

Hello beautiful people :)

I am in a very cheeky mood because the weather is just perfect today.

The sun shining always puts a smile on my face.

I think it's almost impossible for me to be sad on a day like today.

Today is one of those days where I just want to be outside the entire time.

I love sitting in the sun and feeling the sun's rays tanning my skin.

I tan very easily and having a nice golden tan in the summer makes everything so much better :)

Although it is only May, today is definitely one of those summer days.

Summer is my favourite season.

I love being outside, I love the sun and I love summer clothing.

I feel energized and happy all the time!

I absolutely love to see the trees growing their leaves again.

Trees always look so naked and sad during the winter, and then in the summer they always look so happy :)

I really enjoy seeing trees at this stage, when the branches are covered in buds.

Trees and green grass, mmmmm.

I love summer.

Being in the house today is not an option.

I am currently typing this on my porch in the sunshine.

Earlier today, I went to Starbucks today with my lovely friend, Madison.

Sitting on the patio with my frappuccino whilst having a lovely chitchat is my favourite thing to do with friends during this season!

When I'm not doing anything on a sunny afternoon, I love to lounge outside on my deck.

I sit in my comfy chair with my Summer Playlist playing, my zebra cup filled with water and a slice of lemon and my book.

I can lay outside for hours, tanning and reading.

The only thing that gets me are the bees and bugs that like to annoy me sometimes.

Today, two bumble bees and wasp enjoyed flying around me.

They tend to creep me out, but the idea of bumble bees just scream summer to me and I can tolerate them if they flying close to me. 

I know I just ranted about summer, but I love it so much!

The Importance of Friendship

Hello beautiful people :)

I hope you are all having a fantastic Monday and had a great weekend!

Considering the events that I experienced on the weekend, I want to do a small post about friendship.

I've gotten the comment that I've gone through a lot of friends and I always seem to have friend drama.

I hate hearing that because it's something that I try to avoid and yet it still finds me.

Throughout the end of elementary school and all through high school, I thought I had a solid group of girls that I could rely on...but I was wrong. 

Fight after fight, I realized that these girls didn't care about me.

I have so many walls up because I'm tired of losing friends.

It makes me sound like a loser, but it's true :(

When people say that first year University puts your friendships to the test, they really do mean it.

Being away from each other for a year, you learn to see who is still there for you regardless of being so far away.

Stuff happens and naturally you grow apart from some of your friends.

I have unfortunately grown apart from some really close friends, but being at school as definitely brought me closer to some of my other friends. 

I just find it crazy that you can think that you're best friends with a person and all it takes is a month of being away from each other and it's like you are strangers. 

Me and a friend were inseparable for the second half of high school, you could not see one of us without seeing the other.

We were literally attached at the hips.

She was one of the girls where I thought I would be friends with forever.

I was mistaken.

Over the past year, I've noticed that a lot of my friends aren't people that are going to be there for me whenever I need them.

They may seem like they are, but when put in the situation they don't.

So recently, I've received amazing advice and I've realized why bother being friends with people who don't make you happy?

Why be friends with people who you can't be yourself around?

With this being brought to my attention, I realized that I don't need her in my life if I'm not important to her.

Actually going through with this was questionable

But with the encounter I had with her on the weekend, I knew it was for the best.

It felt like I was meeting her for the first time and she had no idea who I was.

Not only did it shock me, but it hurt and I felt invisible. 

It's not an enjoyable feeling and it's definitely not something that someone who was your best friend should make you feel.

It's important to surround yourself with friends that accept you for your flaws, make you happy and will put a smile on your face when you are having a bad day.

Be with people who won't judge you or try to change you.

Finding true friends may not be the easiest, but when you find them they won't leave you.

Your friendships may be put to the test, but if they pass with flying colours then you know they are awesome.

Those will be the friends that will be your bridesmaids and maid of honour at your wedding,

the godmothers of your children and the ones that you'll be reminiscing about your past whilst your children are off playing in another room.

Everyone deserves to be happy!

Don't let your 'friends' degrade you or make you believe that you are not awesome.

Walmart Haul

Hello beautiful people :)

I hope you are all doing fabulous on this extremely fabulous day!

Today's post is going to be quite small, but I'm still excited about it. 

I absolutely love watching Hauls on YouTube and because I haven't started my own Pinky Party YouTube channel yet, I thought I would do a post instead.

Yesterday, my friend and I went to Walmart, which is extremely dangerous.

We are the same person and we are both currently obsessed with make-up, so going into Walmart or Target or Shoppers Drug Mart is just a disaster waiting to happen.

We went in to purchase one thing and of course we walked out with more than that one item...

The haul isn't massive, I didn't buy a lot of things but I still want to share it with you all :)

The reason for the trip to Walmart was to get Michael Bubble's new album called 'To Be Loved'

(I'm aware that I said bubble's, that was intentional)

I cannot begin to explain how beautiful his voice is and this album is just perfect.

It has been on repeat all day today.

I will definitely do an in-depth post about his album later on this week.

I am in love with every song and I can't wait for him to be a dad...

I know that has nothing to do with his album, it was just a little side note, hehe.

My next purchase was Maybelline's Baby Lips.

I have heard so much about this product and I've been meaning to buy it.

So I'm very happy that I finally have. 

I got two because they were on sale for 2 for $7, so why not take advantage of the sale.

The one on the left is Pink Punch and it has a pink tint to it.

The one on the right is Quenched and has no tint to it.

I have yet to open them, I have no clue why...

But I hope that it lives up to the standards, and in the future I'll let you all know my thoughts about them.

This last purchase shouldn't have been made because I do not need any more nail polishes.

I have a slight addiction and it's really bad.

But they were only $2.77 and they are the colours that I've been looking for. 

I've been trying to find a nice yellow and when my eyes landed on this one, I ran straight for it.

The yellow is Sally Hensen's 360 Mellow Yellow.

I have a tendency to go through colour phases and right now the colour I am obsessed with is coral.

I love coral lip sticks, coral clothing and I've been trying to find the perfect coral nail polish.

I was beaming last night when I found it, actually my friend found the last one...bless her :P

The coral is Sally Hensen's 405 Coral Reef.

I am so excited to paint my nails with these colours, together they remind me of pink lemonade...yay for summer :)

The only thing that I don't like about these nail polishes are the fact that they have round bottles instead of square bottles.

Lately, I've been obsessed with square nail polish bottles and sadly these aren't square :(

But I'm sure that I can look past it.

That is it for my haul.
