Beauty Review | Rimmel London Apocalips

Hello beautiful people!
I have come to the conclusion that I suck at introductions.
I sit here for like ten minutes trying to figure out how to greet all of you lovely people!
I guess I'm just too much of an awkward person to figure it out!
Haha!

Anyways, it's time for another beauty review!
I'm going to start to do more of these!
I find it extremely helpful when I read reviews on products that I'm not sure if I should buy it!
So why not help out other people :)
The reviews may not always be positive, products do disappoint me!
But positive or negative, reviews can be beneficial!

The product that I'm going to be talking about is Rimmel London's Apocalips!
This product was only sold in the UK and then made its' way to the U.S.
Except, I was in the States last week and I couldn't find them at Target or CVS.
So I guess that they are only being sold in select stores.
However, they are being sold in majority of the Drugstores in Canada!
But that's a bonus of us Canadian Beauty Guru's because we can try it out and fall in love with this product!
:)
I am in love with the packaging!
I have the colour Apocalyptic, which is a hot pink!
Just look at how pigmented it is!
It has a thick consistency!
You have to be careful when applying this lip stain because it can get messy if you aren't paying attention!
I am a massive fan of the scent that the Rimmel lip sticks have and this lip stain smells the same way!
The Apocalips applies nice and even without making your lips look dry!
I really like the glossy finish, and the colour stains your lips very nicely!
I wore this when I spent an entire day in Toronto.
It surprised me that I only had to reapply this once!
The colour is so bright and I love nothing more than a bold lip.

There are a couple of things that I do have to say.
1. Be careful that this does not end up on your teeth!
The first time I applied this, a lot ended up on my teeth!
So after applying this just clean it up to prevent that from happening.
Because, girl, walking around with lipstick on your teeth ain't a good look!
2. The colour range of these lip stains aren't that impressive!
There aren't a lot of options and I only like two of them!
I'm just wondering whether or not they are going to come out with a wider variety!

On that note, I am giving this product a 10/10!
I had very high expectations for this and it did not disappoint me!
This is very affordable, they are 7 bucks at Walmart!
I will be going back to get the other colour that I liked!
Let me know in the comments if you've tried this product and your thoughts on it!
I would love to hear if other people are loving it as much as I am!

Toronto Haul :)

Hello beautiful people :)
Time for another haul!
Stephanie and I have filmed a haul and are still preparing to upload it to our YouTube channel, but I will let you know when it's up!

So a few weeks ago, I spent the afternoon in Toronto with my gorgeous best friend, Madison!
I vlogged for my first time there and if you haven't seen it yet, you can watch it HERE
I didn't shop a lot, but I figured it's still worth writing a post about it!

My first purchase was from Garage!
It's a light beige, knitted cardigan.
It was $40.00 but absolutely worth the price!
It's pretty long, ending mid thigh and the sleeves are three quarter length.
It's light enough to wear in the summer and still warms me up!
I cannot explain how much I love flower crowns!
I think they are so cute and girly!
When I pair the right outfit with this head band, I feel great!

I got this flower head band from Forever 21!
It was around $7.00
I didn't think I could pull off the larger flowers, but I really like them!
& they are pink!!
PERFECT!!!!
 HEY HEY!
This shirt sums up my attitude!
How could I not buy this?!
I got this cropped top from Brandy Melville (which is becoming one of my favourite stores!)
The shirt was either $12 or $18...but I'm pretty sure it was $12.
The material is extremely soft and tight fitting!
I love everything about this shirt!
Yay!
My last purchase was a make-up purchase!
I got an eyeshadow from MAC to fill in my eyebrows!
It's Mystery Satin and it's the perfect colour for my brows!
I actually used it for a smokey eye today and it looked great!
Fantastic colour!

So ladies and gents that is everything for my haul!
I hope you enjoyed it!
I will chat with you all very soon!
Come and follow me on BlogLovin' & I will shower you in my love!
But for now...

July Favourites :)

Hello beautiful people :)
Just 2 more days until I start posting more often!
So it is the end of the month and I'm going to do my monthly favourites.
I don't normally do these and I'm not going to start.
I'm doing this to make up for all the Fancy Friday's that I've missed and because I have favourites that I do want to share with you.
However, I will be doing monthly favourites on my YouTube channel with my best friend Stephanie!
:)

Without further ado, here are my July favourites!
My favourites all together!
Lets start with my beauty favourites! :)
When I found this product at Shoppers, I actually screamed!
This is Rimmel London's Apocalips in Apocaliptic!
All of my favourite British YouTubers raved about this and I was so jealous that we didn't have them in Canada!
Then, two American Youtubers that I watch announced that they had them in certain places but it was called something else!

So the moment, I saw this I had to buy one!
I'm making a trip to the States next week, so I'll be purchasing more!
But what I love about these is that they stain your lips nicely!
It lasts a long time and it's very pigmented!
The colour pops so well I'm in love with it!
It smells like the Rimmel lipsticks, but I love the scent and it doesn't dry my lips out which is a bonus!
Lately, I've been buying a lot more eye shadows and I have no idea why I haven't started to build up my own eyeshadow palette.
That was a bad decision on my part!
Anyways, I've been looking for a shadow to fill my eyebrows with and the one i was using before just wasn't cutting it!
So I got this one, it is Mac's eyeshadow in Mystery Satin!
It matches my hair colour perfectly!
The best part is, I can use this for a smokey eye as well!
It's an excellent colour and I'm really liking it!
Another product that I've been loving is Maybelline's FIT me blush in deep nude!
I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup the past couple of weeks, to give my skin a break!
But if I do wear makeup, I keep it very basic and natural!
This is a blush with a little bit of shimmer in it, but it's nothing extreme!
It gives me a nice subtle glow when I wear it!
I think this is perfect for a summer, every day look!
My last favourite beauty product is another Rimmel London product!
If you've been tuning in for all of my Fancy Friday's, it is clear that I am a Rimmel London fan!
I haven't been disappointed by one of their products so far!
This one is their Wake Me Up Anti-fatigue and radiant glow foundation in the shade 400 Natural beige.

This is my first non-dance related foundation and I love it!
I don't like feeling like I have a mask of makeup on my face!
I wanted something natural looking and light!
This is the perfect foundation!
It absorbs into my skin and provides a great amount of coverage for my skin type.
What I like the most about this foundation is the radiant glow it gives me!
My skin looks a lot better when I have this on and I love the way it looks in the sun :)
Now before I begin...everyone take your minds out of the gutter ;)
It's a curling wand, guys!!
For the past month, I have rarely been straightening my hair. I just prefer when it's curly!
& because it's the Summer, I let my hair air dry and when it does, it dries wavy.
So what I do is I curl random pieces of my hair loosely.
I love the way it looks!
My favourite book of the month is The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
This was a required reading for the summer course I am taking and I really, really liked it!
It's very dark and depressing, but the writing is brilliant!
I rented this from the library, but I'm tempted to buy my own copy because I loved it so much!
This isn't a light read and it doesn't exactly put you in a happy mood, but it's a great novel!
I recommend this, if you like post-apocalyptic novels!
Okay, so you know I went to see One Direction on July 10th and it was the best night of my life!
This shirt has been my favourite shirt for July!
It just reminds me how amazing the night was and it's super comfy!
I've been wearing this to sleep and just around the house, but it makes me really happy every time I wear it!
I have two musical favourites this month!
The first one is this attractive Australian band called 5 Seconds of Summer.
They are currently touring with One Direction and they are seriously talented!
3/4 of them play guitar and Ashton who is on the right plays the drums.
On Top of that they all have great voices!
They have catchy and fun songs, I can't wait for them to release a cd!
This is my favourite song by them!
They're funny and talented guys!
Seriously check them out!
My second music favourite is a girl group called Girls Aloud.
Now they aren't some new group, they've been around for a while and are extremely popular in the UK.
I started listening to them because my friend recommended them and I'm glad she did.
I am hooked on them!
Their songs make me want to dance all the time, they are so energetic and typical pop songs! (which I love)
All five of them are so beautiful.
To me, they are a classy version of the Pussycat Dolls!
They can be fierce and classy all at the same time!
This is my favourite song by them!
It's called Love Machine!
It's very bubbly and fun to listen too!
I love having this blast through my car whilst I'm driving!
It puts me in the best mood!

That it is all for my July Favourites!
Leave a comment below and let me know what you've been loving throughout the month of July!

Manicure Monday #10

Hello beautiful people :)
Manicure Monday is back!
I don't know how I feel about my nails this week.
I bought a new polish and I'm wearing it for the first time.
All I have to say is that I'm very conflicted.
I used this little guy this week!
It's Sally Hensen's Fuzzy Coat polish in Fuzzy Fantasy!
When applied onto your nails it gives you a very cool texture.
But you have to be careful because at times it can look extremely messy and you have to apply 2-3 coats.
This is how it turned out!
I really don't know how I feel about this...
I think if I use this again, I would apply a white nail polish underneath and see how that looks.

Let me know how you feel about this polish or if you have any tips when using this one!

Fancy Friday #8

Hello beautiful people :)
I apologize for my lack of posts this week.
I'm still trying to balance out school and work and finding time to blog in between!
But here's my weekly favourites :)
My first one is a Starbucks drink.
I am addicting to Starbucks and it doesn't help that one of my best friends work there.
She introduced me to this drink last week and I'm obsessed with it.
It actually isn't being sold yet, so I'm pretty darn lucky hehe!
It's a blended lemonade with peach syrup.
It tastes like a liquid form of fuzzy peaches!
Unreal right?
It's seriously amazing!
The second thing that I've been loving are bonfires.
I had my first one of the summer on Canada Day with my best friends and we're planning to have another one tonight (if the rain goes away!)
But sitting around a fire and roasting marshmellows are my favourite things to do in the summer.
I love the smell of fire on my clothing!
The one that I hate is getting the smoke into my eyes...it burns!
Onto my beauty favourites! :)
This is Nyx's Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk!
I love wearing this!
It's such a beautiful shade of shimmery pink and I love the cream finish!
I pair this up with my bad to the bronze eye shadow and it makes a beautiful rose gold!
I've been wearing this a lot this week on it's own and I'm loving it!
I'm definitely going to get more colours!
My last favourite is a lipstick.
This is Kate Moss' lip stick in the shade 102.
This is a beautiful everyday colour.
I really like the matte look!
But what I would suggest with this one, is to wear lip balm underneath it because it can be a little drying at times!
Other than that, I love this shade and I really like the packaging.

Those are all the products that I've been loving this week :)

Manicure Monday #9

Hello beautiful people :)
Since Today is Canada Day, I thought I should be patriotic.
The Canadian flag colours inspired my choice of nails this week.
On my nails these week are Essie's Fifth Avenue and Essie's Blanc.
I kept it really simple because I didn't have a lot of time to paint them.
I didn't want to leave them bare, so I accented my ring finger again!

If you're from Canada, let me know if you did anything special with your nails to show your Canadian Spirit.

Fancy Friday #6

Hello beautiful people :)
What a beautiful day it is here in Ontario, I hope you guys are having nice weather!
Happy Summer :)
If you're still in school, I hope that your exams are going well!

This week's favourites ended up being a lot of body and face products.
I guess I'm just loving body products this week!
My first favourite is Victoria's Secret Charm Deep-Softening Body Butter in the scent honeysuckle and jasmine.
I've had this product for about five months or so and I love it.
After a few days of wearing it, I noticed a large difference in my skin.
It does an excellent job of softening it.
I've used about half of the jar.
I like that it isn't very thick and my skin doesn't feel slimy after I apply it.
I use this after I get out of the shower and my skin just absorbs all of the moisture.
On top of that, it smells great!
It's a flowery scent and smells like it could be perfume.
The smell isn't too over powering either.
This is Aveeno's Intense Relief Hand Cream.
I love Aveeno products, I have their cleanser, their moisturizer and this hand cream.
My body responds to these products amazingly.
They are a little pricier than other drug store body products, but they are definitely worth the price.
So, I started my new job at Harvey's and I wear gloves a lot of the time whilst I am garnishing people's burgers.
The gloves really dry my hands out and I can't stand dry hands.
My hands are always moisturized and are very soft.

My dad came home at the beginning of the week with this and I had to try it.
I come home from work and the first thing I do is put this on.
They are instantly soft again and it doesn't feel dry at all.
My favourite thing about this hand cream is that it isn't greasy.
95% of the hand creams that I own or have tried leave me with greasy hands.
But this one doesn't at all!
The cream is absorbed immediately :)
This funky, little brush made an appearance in my haul post that I posted two hauls back.
It is Goody's Tangle FX brush and it works wonders.
My hair is a rat's nest when I come out of the shower and it hurts my head to brush through it.
So since I bought this brush, I've been using this and my L'Oreal Detangle Spray when I come out of the shower.
There is no pain when I brush through my hair.
I'll run this through my hair and I literally don't feel any tugging or pulling.
This is so gentle with my hair and I love it!
The bristles feel sharp when I run my finger along them, but they aren't like that when I brush my hair!
I love this little guy!
My last product favourite is Rimmel London's Wake Me Up concealer.
Before this I was using a concealer from E.L.F and I wasn't impressed.
I bought this to replace my other one and I love it.
It provides excellent coverage and brightens underneath my eye!
I have the shade light/medium and it blends in very nicely!
If you guys are looking for a great drug store concealer I recommend this one!
My last favourite is a video.
So, let me get this out of the way...I love One Direction :)
They did a Skype Scavenger Hunt with Jimmy Kimmel.
This is honestly hilarious and my stomach hurts every time I watch this!
They are so funny and good looking ;)
This is definitely worth watching, I guarantee you will laugh and you will laugh harder if you love One Direction! :)

That's it for this week :)
Let me know if you've tried any of these products or if you recommend any products that I should try!

Manicure Monday #7

Hello beautiful people :)
I am so happy that I didn't have to fight with my nails today.
Today's been a pretty good day.
So I present you with this week's Manicure Monday.
This week I have used Wet N' Wild's Wild Shine.
This colour doesn't have a name, but it's a baby pink.
I have also used Sally Hensen's Gem Crush in Showgirl Chic.
I decided to try the glitter ombre again.
I think they turned out better than my attempt last week!
I used a small tip paint brush to apply the glitter.
It gave me more control than the original brush.
Here's a closer look at my nails.
I made sure the sparkles were thicker at the base of my nail and thinned it out as I got closer to the top.
I think the blue sparkles look really nice against the pink base.

Fancy Friday #5

Hello beautiful people :)
It's time for another Fancy Friday!
I apologize, I didn't include a lot of products this week.
I don't have a lot of time to write today's post, so I wanted to keep the products small.
My first favourite is a hair product.
I love using hair products and I love trying new ones.
This one is L'Oreal's Total Repair.
It replenishes and detangles hair.
It has a weightless leave-in.
This product repairs and strengthens hair to its' silky touch.

Everything that this product says that it's supposed to do, I agree.
This product is amazing.
It's the first detangle spray that I've used in a while, but I don't think I need to switch products.
I love this one.
I'm not fighting with my hair to get all the knots out after I shower.
I spray my hair with this and brushing is so much easier.
There's also a massive difference in how soft my hair is.
Sometimes, my ends look really dry, but I haven't had that problem since I started using this.

It has a nice fruity smell and it feels like I'm just spraying water in my hair.
It doesn't feel like I'm putting product in my hair.
It's very light and my hair just soaks it up.
I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a detangle and replenishing spray.
The next product is a make-up favourite.
It's Stila stay all day liquid eyeliner.
I use this product so much, the label on here has rubbed off.
I've had this product for a while and it is the best eyeliner that I've tried.
Other eyeliners that I've used have smudged or i don't like the way that they apply.
This one doesn't smudge at all and it goes on very smoothly.
As you can see, it has a very fine point which is great to apply thin and smooth lines.
I really like to do wing eyeliner because it's so easy to use.
The other day I rubbed my eye, forgetting that I was wearing makeup and my eyeliner didn't move.
I'm definitely going to be sticking to this eyeliner, I find it's worth the price.
I bought this at Sephora for $23, I believe.
My last favourite is another Iphone App,
It's called Wunderlist.
It's an app that allows you to make to-do lists.
I am a very organized person and i live on to-do lists.
I use this app every day and my lists are organized by personal, work and blog.
Then, I have lists of music that I need to download or movies that I have to watch.
I really like this app and it's free :)
So if you're an organized person like me and you're looking for a great to-do list app, this is it!

This is all for now :)
Leave a comment below if you've tried these products and your thoughts on them!

Mini Drugstore Haul :)

Hello beautiful people :)
How are all of you doing?
I'm trying to get a lot of blogging done before the weekend because I will be dancing all weekend and will probably have no time to blog :(

Today my friend and I went shopping.
Surprise, surprise.
We aren't supposed to go shopping because we are having a big shopping spree next week, but apparently that is too long for us to wait.
So, to justify our shopping today we told ourselves that we were looking for gifts for our dads.
It is Father's Day on Sunday and I had no idea what to give my daddy.
I have no problem shopping for my mom, but when it comes to my dad, I am lost.
I ended up buying him a gift card to Starbucks because he loves Starbucks and on Sunday I will be making him home made fudge :)

Back to the haul :)
My friend and I went to Target and Winners.
I was pretty proud of myself because I didn't buy a lot.
I didn't buy anything at Winners, but I'll end up going back to buy things for my room.
But I'm happy with my purchases and i still want to share them with you all :)
The first item that I purchased is Maybelline's Lasting Drama by Eye Studio Gel eyeliner in the colour Eggplant.
I am a sucker for good, non-smudging eyeliners.
I love the Stila Liquid eyeliner that I have now, but I've heard that gel eyeliners are so great and i had to try one.
I got purple because I wanted to try something new and purple looks really good with brown eyes :)
I'm really excited to try this product, hopefully I really like it!
When I saw that Target had these I got really excited.
Loads of Youtubers rave about these and how they are so amazing.
It's Goody's TangleFIX brush.
I had to buy it and see if it's that good.
I really like the design on the back.
It's a dark purple with a cheetah print.
I'm too excited to open this and use it!
I bought this nail polish remover because I'm running out of the one that I have.
This is just a standard polish remover that is supposed to strengthen my nails.
It was $.0.94 and I bought it because it was cheap!
I also got a Wet n Wild Nail Polish.
This polish doesn't have a name, but it's a ballerina pink.
It's very girly and my favourite shade of pink!
I can't wait to wear these on my nails!
I have a feeling that this will be making an appearance in next week's Manicure Monday.
hehe!
This is my last purchase and one that has been on my wishlist.
It is Nyx's Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade Strawberry Milk.
It's a very shimmery pink and it looked gorgeous when I swatched it.
It shimmers beautifully when the light hits it and I think it would be beautiful on the eyes on a Summer's Day.
If I like this product, I'll definitely go back to get more colours and maybe even try their lip pencils!

That is all for the haul.
Leave a comment below letting me know anything that you've purchased lately or your thoughts on the products that I bought today!

Manicure Monday #6

Hello beautiful people :)
Today has been a battle with my nails.
The amount of nail polish remover I have used today is ridiculous.
I have tried five different designs and none of them have worked.
I'm just having an off day with my nails.
But don't worry I do have a Manicure Monday for you all!

I will warn you now that I'm not in love with them.
But the longer I look at them, they kind of grow on me.

The colours this week are an assortment.
I have used four different colours and you'll see why very soon.
I have Sally Hensen's Mint Sorbet as a base colour and I have also used Sally Hensen's Mellow Yellow, Essie's Play Date and a mysterious blue colour.
I have no idea where the label went...
I got this idea from Pinterest
The finished product.
It doesn't look like the Pinterest one, but I don't care.
To do this, I placed a dot of each colour (one by one) in the corner of my nail and used a toothpick to spread the colour outwards.
It looks like paint splatters and I kind of like it.

Although this wasn't my initial plan, it's growing on me.
Things don't always work out and I definitely figured that out today!
Haha!
Leave a comment below and let me know what you think of this look!
& Hopefully next week my nails will cooperate with me!

Fancy Friday #4

Hello beautiful people :)
It's that time for another Fancy Friday!
Woot, woot!
My first favourite is a Bath and Body Works candle in the scent Gelato.
I am a massive fan of their candles.
I just love how this makes my room smell.
When it is burning, my room smells so sweet and fruity.
There are times when I'm burning candles and the scent gives me a headache.
But this isn't the case with this one.
The scent isn't too strong.
My second favourite shouldn't be a surprise!
I blogged about this Classic Disney film a few days ago!
You can check it out Here, if you haven't already!
I haven't stopped watching both films.
I love them so much!

I'm not sure why I haven't blogged about this product before.
I've had it for months and I fell in love with it after a week!
It's the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator in very black!
I have very short and straight eyelashes and most of the time I need to use two different mascaras in order for my lashes to be seen.
This is the first mascara that I've used where I don't have to pair it with another mascara.
I think the formula is perfect, it isn't too dry.
It doesn't clump.
I love the applicator!

This is another product that I've owned for a while.
It's Elf's blush in Twinkle Pink.
I bought this last year whilst on a trip to Florida with my friends.
I didn't wear blush then, I bought it because it was $3 and for the sake of owning blush.
I didn't start wearing this until a few months ago, but I wear it every day now.
I absolutely love it and it's my go-to blush.
I think the shade of pink is beautiful and I love the gold sparkles in it.
It's gorgeous on, I love the way it looks in the sun.
It gives you a nice colour whilst making you sparkle, slightly.
Oh and the price is fantastic :)
The next thing that I've been fancy-ing this week is a phone app.
It's called Candy Crush.
I haven't been addicted to this game until this week!
I am constantly playing this game and getting very frustrated because I can't beat a level.
It is the most satisfying feeling when I finish a level that I've been stuck on for a while!
If you don't have this  on your phone already, I suggest you get it!
It's dangerously addicting!
This is my last favourite!
It's Pompeii by Bastille :)
I am in love with the entire Bad Blood album, but this is the first song that I've listened to by them.
Lately, I've wanted to listen to this song a lot!
This song gets me pumped up and I like waking up to this because it gives me energy to get out of bed.
I love the lyrics and the music.
It makes me really happy.
I love listening to this in the car because it's a great song to jam out too whilst you're driving.

Well that's all for Fancy Friday!
I hope you had a great week :)
Leave a comment below if you fancy!
