Manicure Monday #8

Hello beautiful people :)
I've realized that I haven't been posting a lot lately, besides the 30 Day Snap Challenge.
I'm hoping that this week, despite the fact that I start my summer course, that I'll be able to post regularly.
I have loads of ideas, I just don't know why I haven't written about them.
hmmm, don't worry that'll change :)

Anywho, it's time for another Manicure Monday!
This week's is very simple, nothing extravagant.
Tomorrow is my brother's graduation and I wanted to keep my nails simple and because my nails weren't cooperating again.
hehe!
This week I used a very summery colour.
It is Sally Hensen's Coral Reef :)
This colour matches my dress nicely.
I'll do an OOTD for my brother's graduation tomorrow!
I love this colour.
It's such a pretty colour for this time of the year!
It also makes my skin look a little darker :)

That's it for now!
If you have any ideas that I could do for another Manicure Monday, leave a comment below! :)

Beauty Review| Maybelline Lipsticks :)

Hello beautiful people :)
I hope you are all doing fantastic today!
I have decided to finally do my first beauty review!
Yipee!
With my current obsession with lipsticks, I figured reviewing lip products would be very fitting!
So today I am going to be sharing my thoughts on Maybelline lipsticks.
 I own two Maybelline lipsticks.
I hate one, but I love the other one.
The first one that I have here is the first one that I bought.
I bought this in October of 2011 because I needed it for a Halloween costume.

This is Maybelline's Colour Sensational Lip Stain in 630 Red Revolution.
I love red lipstick.
But I need the right shade of red because some look quite ugly on my lips.
This one, however, looked really nice!
It's a rich shade of red.
I've only worn this twice and I've hated wearing it both times.

Maybelline claims that this lip stain has a crisper colour and a creamier feel because of the nourishing honey.
Wrong.
The pigmentation is great.
The colour on the lip stick does transfer to your lips quite brightly, so I won't complain about the colour.
But I will complain about how it's supposed to nourish my lips.

My lips can get really dry if I don't take care of them.
After wearing this lip product for a couple of hours, it takes days for lips to go back to normal.
This lipstick dries them out so quickly that it's hard to reapply it because you can tell how chapped my lips are.
It applies very nicely, but my lips peel for days after.
If I was to wear this again, I would definitely put on a lip balm before applying this.
The colour when I swatched it on the back of my hand
So overall, I love the colour and the pigmentation, I just hate how drying it is.
The next Maybelline lip stick that I have is part of their new line, which is Colour Sensational Vivids in 870 Shocking Coral.
I've had this one for about a month and I just love it.
Because I love Coral I wanted a nice Coral lipstick and this just the perfect colour for me.
The colour is so bright and when I put it on my lips, it is even brighter.
I love how bright it is, this lipstick is perfect for a nice Summer or Spring day :)
This product provides you with vivid colour, which it does perfectly and the honey is supposed to nourish your lips.
Now, this lip stick doesn't dry my lips out quite like the other lip product above, but it still manages to do so.
It's easier for me to restore my lips after wearing this one, which is a plus.
So I don't know if they just changed the formula of this one.
The first time I wore it I didn't wear a lip balm underneath, so my lips were dry after that.
But ever since then I've been applying lip balm before and my lips rarely get dry.
**Tip of the day: Apply lip balm before wearing these lip products**
Look at that colour!

If you are looking for a nice coral colour, I recommend this one!
(Ignore the fact that it looks more pink in the picture, it doesn't look like that on the lips)
It's such a pretty shade and very girly.
The pigmentation is fantastic and it won't disappoint you!
It's easy to apply and it really brightens your lips.
Fantastic Product.

Overall, I much more impressed with this lip product than the first one.
Leave a comment below your experiences with Maybelline Lip Stains :)
Maybe I'm the only one that hates their normal line of lipsticks...

Manicure Monday #2

Hello again beautiful people :)
Look at this, two posts in one day! What!!
But it is Manicure Monday so I have to make an update on my nails!
So if you read my Walmart Haul post you know that I purchased two new Sally Hensen nail polishes.
So for this week I chose to use both colours :)
The yellow is called Mellow Yellow and the Coral is called Coral Reef.
Together they remind me of Pink lemonade, which reminds me of the summer :)
The colour comes on quite beautifully, but you have to apply enough layers.
Depending on how you apply it, it can come on streaky but can be easily fixed by adding another layer.
(Sorry for the awkward hand position, I ain't no hand model)
Anyways, this is what the polish looks like when it is on!
The yellow really pops, which I love because it really accents the ring finger.
I know that I did the same style as last week with different colours, but I just loved both of these colours. I couldn't choose!
Every time I look at my nails, all I think about is summer and the warm weather and they instantly make me happy.

I promise that next week I'll do something a little more creative :)
Leave a comment below if you like these colours or what you are rocking on your nails.

Walmart Haul

Hello beautiful people :)
I hope you are all doing fabulous on this extremely fabulous day!
Today's post is going to be quite small, but I'm still excited about it.
I absolutely love watching Hauls on YouTube and because I haven't started my own Pinky Party YouTube channel yet, I thought I would do a post instead.

Yesterday, my friend and I went to Walmart, which is extremely dangerous.
We are the same person and we are both currently obsessed with make-up, so going into Walmart or Target or Shoppers Drug Mart is just a disaster waiting to happen.
We went in to purchase one thing and of course we walked out with more than that one item...
The haul isn't massive, I didn't buy a lot of things but I still want to share it with you all :)

The reason for the trip to Walmart was to get Michael Bubble's new album called 'To Be Loved'
(I'm aware that I said bubble's, that was intentional)
I cannot begin to explain how beautiful his voice is and this album is just perfect.
It has been on repeat all day today.
I will definitely do an in-depth post about his album later on this week.
I am in love with every song and I can't wait for him to be a dad...
I know that has nothing to do with his album, it was just a little side note, hehe.

My next purchase was Maybelline's Baby Lips.
I have heard so much about this product and I've been meaning to buy it.
So I'm very happy that I finally have.
I got two because they were on sale for 2 for $7, so why not take advantage of the sale.
The one on the left is Pink Punch and it has a pink tint to it.
The one on the right is Quenched and has no tint to it.
I have yet to open them, I have no clue why...
But I hope that it lives up to the standards, and in the future I'll let you all know my thoughts about them.
This last purchase shouldn't have been made because I do not need any more nail polishes.
I have a slight addiction and it's really bad.
But they were only $2.77 and they are the colours that I've been looking for.
I've been trying to find a nice yellow and when my eyes landed on this one, I ran straight for it.
The yellow is Sally Hensen's 360 Mellow Yellow.
I have a tendency to go through colour phases and right now the colour I am obsessed with is coral.
I love coral lip sticks, coral clothing and I've been trying to find the perfect coral nail polish.
I was beaming last night when I found it, actually my friend found the last one...bless her :P
The coral is Sally Hensen's 405 Coral Reef.
I am so excited to paint my nails with these colours, together they remind me of pink lemonade...yay for summer :)
The only thing that I don't like about these nail polishes are the fact that they have round bottles instead of square bottles.
Lately, I've been obsessed with square nail polish bottles and sadly these aren't square :(
But I'm sure that I can look past it.

That is it for my haul.
I know it's tiny, but I hope you guys still liked it.
I will talk to you beautiful people later.
